We believe in healthy and ACTIVE members. Why come to church just to sit around? We've got plenty of areas for you to get involved. Find your fit below!
Information is vital to helping us grow and develop new ways to be a better ministry. The clerks' department directly links to the data collection and processing needed to improve everything happening at WOF. If you are great with numbers, detail-oriented, and love organization, this is your department.
Media is all around us, especially in the age of technology. The gospel is not immune to new ways of communication. We dedicate ourselves to understanding and catering to the various ways people take in information (visual, verbal, digital, and written). If you are interested in things like videography, graphic design, photography, creative writing, etc. then this is the place for you!
FAITH FOOD BOOKSTORE
Our bookstore is the one-stop-shop for all things Word of Faith. Any visitor or member can find branded merchandise, CDs, motivational books, and more cool stuff! If you need help finding something, our knowledgable workers will greet you with a warm smile and willing hand, ready to assist!
GOOD GROUNDS COFFEE SHOP
Is the sound of stomachs grumbling before service familiar to you? Would you like to help people get their morning caffeine fix that can propel them through the day? If so, you belong at Good Grounds! We serve tasty drinks and snacks that provide "pick me ups" and satisfied smiles to everyone who stops by. We also encourage culinary creativity by having teammates develop new recipes and promotional ideas.
Some say cleanliness is next to Godliness, so we take care of the House of the Lord! No one likes a nasty or uncomfortable environment. It is no different at church! If you take pride in your place of worship and would like to roll up your sleeves to help us keep things looking great, then we welcome you on the sanitation train! FYI, K.L.E.E.N means keeping the Lord's environment extremely neat.
KIDS & YOUTH
Jesus isn't just for adults. He even said to have faith like a child. We believe the Word applies to every stage of life. Our workers love teaching the next generation life skills with spiritual values. We want the kids to have their own relationships with God and be able to relate properly to their families, friends, and society at large.
NURSING HOME MINISTRY
Many members of the older generation are unable to live by themselves and forced into assisted living or nursing facilities. They can become lonely and depressed due to not having visitors/family or dwelling on their lack of independence. It is our mission to make sure the elderly know they are loved and that someone cares about them. Our teams faithfully visit local nursing homes, hospices, and similar places of care to bring joy to residents through different activities such as sock giveaways, sing-a-longs, and more.
We firmly believe "the church" is not the four walls, but the "feet" of Jesus! Christians are called to love God and love people by going out of their way to help meet the spiritual and sometimes physical needs of others as the Holy Spirit leads. None of us would be where we are without the prayers, support, and mentorship of others. If people are your passion, this is the ministry for you!
Do you need transportation? We can help with that! Our drivers are licensed, vetted, and inspected to ensure a smooth ride to get you from point A to B in a safe and timely manner. If you need a ride call and schedule your place on the van at least three business days before your desired service (601-602-6706). If you are interested in being a driver, please call the same number previously mentioned.
USHERS & GREETERS
The ushers and greeters are the gatekeepers of our house! These folks shake every hand, seat every guest, and manage the flow of every service. We like to call them "the people of the people"! Clad in pristine uniforms, welcoming uniforms, and an orderly presence the ushers and greeters keep the peace and create calm in the service to the Lord and every foot that steps through our doors.
