ABOUT WORD OF FAITH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
Mission and History
The mission of Word of Faith Christian Academy's elementary division is to educate a diverse group of children, spiritually and academically, so that they can assume their God-given roles as leaders in an ever-changing, global society.
In 1997, Dr. Orlando R. Burt, Pastor of Word of Faith Christian Center, acknowledged God's vision for Word of Faith-Hattiesburg. This vision included the development of a school that would rigorously prepare students for advancement in the world while infusing Christian principles. To this end, an initial steering committee, consisting of teachers, school administrators, parents, and early childhood professionals, worked diligently to bring this vision to past.
Due to the faithfulness of God to totally fulfill His vision this earth and bring His promises to past, Word of Faith Academy
will open its doors to serve a diverse group of children, from
12 months of age through 2nd grade in August of 2006. Upon its initial opening, Word of Faith Academy
will consist of the following programs: The Early Childhood Development Program, which includes Advanced Nursery, and Emergent Learners Classrooms; and The Accelerated Learning Program, which includes Kinder-preparatory Classrooms, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade.
From inception to now, God has remained faithful and allotted us His unending grace and favor in making His vision a reality in this earth.
Glory to His name!
